Interior design is rooted in “home” and home for us is Maine. Designers at heart and by trade, we are truly inspired by the world in which we live. Our goal is to pair our technical knowledge of products and materials with the art of design and local craft, to assist you in creating the perfect environment for Maine living.
Resource.
As one of the largest residential design firms in Maine, we are fortunate to have an incredibly diverse and comprehensive Resource Library. From the latest fabrics and wall coverings, to furniture finish samples in a multitude of colors and stains, our Resource Library is the perfect spot to storyboard your home.
Studio.
Not a design office nor a furniture showroom, our studio is a functional design workspace where we invite you to collaborate with us. Partner with our design team to assemble the materials, textures, palette and finishing touches that most inspire you.

Interior Selections.
We want every detail of your home to reflect your personal style and what inspires you. Our interior designers capture every opportunity to customize your home in ways that are practical and functional, but also thoughtful and beautiful. Working with you and/or your architect, our studio team can assist you with sourcing and selecting interior finishes for your home: cabinetry, flooring, tile, wall finishes, plumbing and electrical fixtures, paint colors, hardware and more.
Furnishings & Décor.
Furnishings design is informed by how you live and entertain in your home, with a focus on spatial arrangements, flow, use, style and comfort. Our studio designers will guide you in selecting upholstered furniture and case goods—paired with artwork, rugs, wallpaper, window treatments, light fixtures and accessories—to bring all elements of a home together.
Kitchen & Bath.
Thoughtful kitchen and bathroom design is a primary factor in creating an effective and enjoyable home. We have specific expertise in planning these most technical living environments. Luxury, function, lighting, ergonomics, safety and relationship to the adjoining spaces are of utmost importance. COVE by Knickerbocker Group offers custom designed cabinetry, held to our highest standards for construction, durability and beauty.
